My final 2012 NFL mock draft.
1. Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck QB, Stanford
duh
2. Washington Redskins
RGiii, QB, Baylor
duh
3. Minnesota Vikings
Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
Who doesn't want a lock-down corner in the age of the forward pass?
4. Cleveland Browns
Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
I
don't know why anyone would draft a running back this high but hey it's Cleveland right? Doesn't the 2011 Madden cover model prove that point? At least they aren't dumb enough to draft
Tannehill here, right?
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Fletcher Cox, DT, Miss St
Have to assume they wanted Richardson or MoClai. Wide receiver would be my back up plan.
6. St Louis Rams
Justin Blackmon, WR, Ok St
The
value of the draft thus far if he is still available. He isn't as good
as Megatron but Blackmon is exactly what Sam-Brad ordered.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars
Matt Khalil, OT, USC
BPA, if he is gone I'd guess Coples because JAX loves them so D-line.
8. Miami Dolphins
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas a&m
Hehe,
failboat. Chips are falling too perfectly in place for the 'phins to
not pull the trigger on Tannehill. Fortunately for all of us that hate
the Dolphins this pick will fail because Tanne will be forced in to
starting sooner than he's ready too.
9. Carolina Panthers
Luke Kuechly, ILB, BC
Gotta build that porous defense and replace some holes in the LB corps.
10. Buffalo Bills
Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
The Bills are throwing up more smoke signals than Cheech & Chong in the 70's. Late buzz could be the Bills selecting Mark Barron.
11. Kansas City Chiefs
Quinton Coples, DE, UNC
Would look great opposite Tamba Hali
12. Seattle Seahawks
Stephon Gilmore, CB, Gamecocks
Solid player who can step in and play right away.
13. Arizona Cardinals
David Decastro, G, Stanford
Boring
14. Dallas Cowboys
Mark Barron, S, Alabama
Might get desperate and even trade up for Barron that would be a typical Jerra thing to do. Or draft someone with the most arrests on the board.
15. Philadelphia Eagles
Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
Andy Reid loves him some trench guys and that is why they are always competitive.
16. New York Jets
Dontari Poe, NT, Memphis
They always go defense and Poe is value at 16
17. Cincinnati Bengals
Riley Reiff OT, Iowa
Nice safe pick for a middling team.
18. San Diego Charges
Dre Kirkpatrick CB, Alabama
No freaking wonder Alabama was so good last year jeez. Janoris Jenkins character flaws hurt him here.
19. Chicago Bears
Melvin Ingram, DE, Gamecocks
Probably won't fall this far but this is where I have him deal with it.
20. Tennesse Titans
Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois
#ilikethat great pick here
21. Cincinnati Bengals
Courtney Upshaw, OLB, Alabama
BPA
22. Cleveland Browns
Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
Gotta start building that offense eventually.
23. Detroit Lions
David Martin, OT, Stanford
Hoping Reiff will fall this far but I don't see it.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers
Harrion Smith, S, ND
How man more years does Mr Head and Shoulders have left?
25. Denver Broncos
Rueben Randall, WR, LSU
Just like Indy used to do, build around Peyton.
26. Houston Texans
Stephon Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
I don't care.
27. New England Patriots
Janoris Jenkins, CB, N Alabama
I tried to crawl into the mind of William Belichick and I shit my pants.
28. Green Bay Packers
Nick Perry, OLB, USC
29. Baltimore Ravens
Peter Jones, C, Wisconsin
Stole this from walterfootball
30. San Francisco 49ers
Chandler Jones, OLB, 'cuse
Frisco I feel like always goes defense
31. New England Patriots
Shea McClellin, OLB, Boise St
Could be a steal but this is a prime pick to trade, someone will move up for someone they like. Perhaps Fleener?
32. NY Giants
Doug Martin, RB, Boise State
WHO THE HECK IS PETER JONES? IT'S PETER KONZ, CENTER, WISCONSIN. YOU AREN'T EVEN CLOSE.
