Trade anything to get Andrew Luck

by Steve

I'll be brief. Ryan Fitzpatrick is not good. He will not win playoff games. The Buffalo Bills are not good. They will not get to the playoffs. The only way to win, get to the playoffs, and have a sniff at (dare I say) a Superbowl championship is to.... TRADE ANYTHING YOU CAN TO GET ANDREW LUCK.

The guy will be a stud. I hated Sam Bradford last year coming out of the draft and I was wrong. The St Louis Rams will probably make the playoffs with a rookie QB. True it is an aberration because the division is so weak and the the schedule so easy, but the QB is the key.

No matter the cost, the Buffalo Bills needs to trade up to get Andrew Luck. You watched the dismantling yet again of the Bills by the Patriots. It isn't luck, it isn't all coaching, it is a superior quarterback. Luck is that quarterback. Trade to get him Ralph.

  1. Alright, let's relax a little bit. No one is debating that Fitz had a horrible game. He turned it over 5 times. There is no excuse for that. There is no way to beat the Patriots after turning it over 7 times on the day as a team.

That being said, trading away a ton of draft picks to get Andrew Luck is the worst thing this franchise can do right now. In 2004, the Giants traded the 4th pick in the 2004 draft, their 3rd round selection in 2004, their first round selection in 2005 (12th overall) and their fifth round pick in 2005 for Eli Manning.

Eli Manning is not as high a prospect as Andrew Luck so the Bills are looking at at least this much to trade up from 4 to 1, if that is how it turns out. The Bills have way too many holes to do this. As far as I am concerned, QB isn't even close to as much of a need as defensive front 7 help.

Benjarvus Green Ellis and Danny Woodhead ran through the BIlls defense. Yesterday was the most embarrassing performance by a rush defense that has had a number of embarrassing performances this season. These guys are cast offs and averaged over 5 yards per carry and 217 for the game. Get front 7 help and a TE before getting quarterback help. I want the Bills to become respectable before worrying about anything more than that because this franchise is a complete embarrassment.

Jairus Byrd-9 INTs to 0 INTs in one season AND he has played MORE this year. How does that happen?

    Janis, relax, you're lost.

  3. Defensive lineman don't win games. QB's win games. If the Bills draft a front 7 player Slingblade Nix should be stoned to death. Trade away the whole fucking draft for Luck if they have to. Hindsight is 20/20 but i'd trade everyone of the Bills 2010 draft for Sam Bradford.

  5. I wouldn't trade away a 7th rd pick for a RB let alone the whole draft.

  6. First- and third-round pick, second-rounder next year (if there even is a draft), Lee Evans and Ralph Wilson, Jr. for Luck.

hopefully the Bills end up with the 2nd pick and Carolina doesn't want to win and loves one of the bum defensive lineman.

  8. manning won a superbowl, i'd trade anything for that so that is a bad example. fitzpatrick is a scrub ala doug flukie.

all the "valuable" draft picks we're giving away are just another whitner mckelvin spiller or maybin piece of shit bust in waiting regardless. we haven't had a good first round pick since what the 90's? and we have the same people running the show in modrak. fml trade 3 full drafts for luck

  9. Did Todd McShay really have the Bills taking Patrick Peterson with the 4th pick? It would make as much sense as the Spiller pick. Nice productive draft class Nix.
